A new study has found that a drug used to treat angina may actually make it harder for the heart to pump blood and lower the chance of heart attack and stroke. The study, published in the American Journal of Cardiology, was part of a large trial that found that taking amlodipine (Norvasc) increased the risk of heart attack and stroke in patients with heart failure.
